Want to help an ABANDONED/NEGLECTED dog?

Become a PLRVA FOSTER!!

Every Foster Home we find means another dog’s life has been saved. We are in desperate need of foster homes for our dogs. As a foster, PLR will provide you with support, food, veterinary care and all the necessary supplies. All you have to provide is the willingness to help an animal in need until he or she can be placed in a forever home. You can request certain personality types as well as age groups you would like to foster. The average stay can average anywhere from two weeks to two months – a short amount of time that makes all the difference in the world to that special animal. As a foster, you will have the satisfaction of helping to save an animal’s life and it can provide a playmate for your current pet. It’s a win-win situation!

Remember, rescued dogs all have idiosyncrasies that have lead to their being in need of rescuing. PLRVA often does not know what these idiosyncrasies are or to what extent they affect the dong in question. As a Foster, your patience and understanding are vital!

FUND RAISING/DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR Needed

A Volunteer Position is open for a dedicated, motivated and well organized fund raiser volunteer coordinator and animal advocate. Responsibilities include contacting businesses for potential donations, coordinating all aspects of planned fund raisers throughout the year.
